Ingredients
– 36 Oreo cookies
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 16 oz white chocolate (or candy melts)
– Red and green sprinkles for decoration
Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl, begin by crushing the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a rolling pin or a mallet. Transfer the crumbs to the bowl and add the softened cream cheese. Mix well until fully combined and the texture resembles a dough.
2. Using your hands, take portions of the mixture and roll them into balls roughly 1 inch in size. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet and put them in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
3. While the balls are chilling, prepare the white chocolate by melting it in a double boiler or microwave, stirring frequently until smooth and glossy.
4. Once the Oreo balls are set, take each one and dip it into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s completely coated. Use a fork to lift it out, letting any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
5. Immediately transfer the dipped Oreo ball back onto the parchment-lined sheet and add festive red and green sprinkles on top before the coating sets.
6. Allow the decorated Oreo balls to chill in the refrigerator for an additional 30 minutes, or until the chocolate coating has hardened completely.
