Description

The holidays are a time for cozy gatherings, cheerful decorations, and indulgent treats that bring joy to family and friends. Oreo Christmas Balls combine the rich flavor of Oreos with creamy goodness and festive decorations. Perfect for cookie exchanges, parties, or as a homemade gift, these treats are simple, fun to make, and delicious to share.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz white chocolate, melted
  • 12 oz milk or dark chocolate, melted
  • Red and green sprinkles or colored icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, blend the crushed Oreo cookies with the softened cream cheese until smooth and fully incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  4. Melt the white and milk/dark chocolate in separate bowls. Dip each ball into the chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated, and let the excess chocolate drip off.
  5. Place the coated balls back onto the parchment paper and decorate with red and green sprinkles or drizzle with colored icing while the chocolate is still soft.
  6. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until firm.
  7. Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use a food processor for finely crushed Oreos or a rolling pin for a hands-on approach.
  • Chill the balls and chocolate to make dipping easier.
  • Customize the decorations to match any holiday or theme.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
